What is color temperature?
The color temperature is a sign of the spectral composition of the white light source.
Normally its color coordinate is on the "black body track", called "color temperature", with "CT", or not on the "black body track", called "correlated color temperature" and "CCT" is used. And normally led light is "CCT".
The human eye has different color perceptions for different light color temperatures. The higher the color temperature of the light source, the more blue light the perception is, the lower the color temperature, the redder it will be. The unit of measurement for color temperature is expressed in Kelvin, using the symbol K (a measure of absolute temperature).
Usually people will perceive that the light is red, orange and yellow are warmer, white and blue are cooler. In fact red has the lowest color temperature, then gradually increases in orange, yellow, white, and blue, blue is the highest color temperature. Different color temperatures have different effects on the human eye.
Next, we will introduce the application and impact of 3000K, 4000K, 5000K.
<3000K | warm color (with red) | Sedate、 warm |
3000-5000K | middle(white) | fresh |
>5000K | chilly(with blue) | cold |
3000K color temperature
In general, our customers choose to use 3000K color temperature lighting for home decoration lighting. Such as kitchen, bedroom leisure area and other non-mission lighting. It mainly to create a warm atmosphere that makes us feel relaxed at home. Although this does not work very brightly. Maybe you feel that the object is yellowish and not clear enough.
The 3000K color temperature lamp will be more friendly to the human eye. Its blue light is weaker than other color temperatures. This is why we advocate the use of this color temperature range for home lighting.
4000K color temperature
What is the 4000K color temperature equivalent? When you feel the sun outside in the morning or afternoon, you can be clear. The most common color temperature is in the office, shopping mall or daily residential outdoor lighting. It provides normal, brighter lighting. Make people see the essence of things without overexposure. Bright lighting can make people's attention and work more positive. Its blue light damage will be a little higher than the 3000K color temperature, it still can be within the acceptable range, as long as we pay more attention to let the eyes rest more, 4000K color temperature range is also the widest application.
Above 5000K color temperature
The color temperature blue light above 5000K is very obvious, which is why we do not recommend reading in the sun. It is more harmful. The emitted light is colder in the room, close to the blue light. For example, parking lots, industrial lighting and other large outdoor venues, or some special needs high intensity lighting will be needed. We recommoned not to work at this color temperature for a long time, which is very harmful to the eyes.
We can offer a variety of color temperature options, if you are interested, we can discuss in detail.
